For workers

Jobs that fit your week, near where you are.

Tell GapCrew when you are free, which trades you work in and how far you will travel. See the short-term jobs that fit, and respond to the ones you want.

In short

A worker on GapCrew sets weekly hours, a ZIP code and a travel distance, picks trades, and then sees only the jobs that fall inside that free time, and nobody can penalise them for saying no.

What you do

Four things, then the jobs come to you.

Set your free time

Enter your weekly hours and adjust single dates. GapCrew fills in about eight weeks ahead. A window can cross midnight.

Say where you are

Give a ZIP code and a travel distance. The default is 25 miles and the most is 50. No street address is needed.

Build your profile

Pick your trades and a main trade, and list skills, tools and experience. Profile photos and document uploads are not available yet.

Respond to what fits

You see jobs in your trades, inside your free time and in range. Respond to the ones you want. The employer decides whom to confirm.

After you are confirmed

What happens next

  1. You get the exact addressIt appears in your booking, and a copy of confirmed bookings stays readable on your device if you lose signal.
  2. You can message the employerMessaging opens for a confirmed booking and stays tied to that job.
  3. You check in and outThe app records your start and finish for an hours log. If a time is wrong, suggest a correction.
  4. You are paid directlyThe employer pays you directly. Wages never pass through GapCrew.
  5. You can review each otherBoth sides can say how the job went.
Fair to you

What GapCrew will not do

  • Penalise, rank down or flag you for declining a job or cancelling with a reason.
  • Show your home address, phone number or full name to employers before you are confirmed.
  • Handle your wages, or take a share of them.
  • Promise you work. Jobs depend on who posts and when you are free.
  • Run criminal background checks.
